This Privacy Policy explains how Designer Boulevard LLC(“Designer Boulevard,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the Designer Blvd. Product Clipperbrowser extension (the “Extension”) and the Designer Boulevard web application at app.designerblvdaz.com(together with the Extension, the “Services”).
Who uses these Services.The Services are internal business tools built for Designer Boulevard’s own staff. The Extension and web application are not offered to the general public, and accounts are restricted to authorized Designer Boulevard personnel. In the course of running our interior-design business, the Services also store personal information about our design clients and prospective clients — for example, the name, email, phone number, and project details a person provides when booking a discovery call or otherwise inquiring through our website — which we process to respond to the inquiry and deliver our services. This policy covers both groups.
1. Who is responsible for your information
Designer Boulevard LLC is an Arizona limited liability company and is the controller responsible for the personal information processed through the Services. You can reach us at:

2. Information we collect
a. Account & authentication information (staff)
When an authorized employee signs in, we process their email address, display name, and assigned role. Depending on the sign-in method chosen, we store a password verifier (a salted scrypthash — never the password itself), optional two-factor (TOTP) settings, and optional passkey (WebAuthn) credentials. We also keep authentication session records, which expire automatically (sessions last up to 24 hours), and a last-login timestamp.
b. Product data captured by the Extension
The Extension only activates on a web page when a signed-in employee clicks the clip button. When it runs, it reads the content of that single, active pageto extract product information, including: the page URL and title; product attributes such as name, SKU, price, currency, brand, color, material, dimensions, description, and category; candidate product image URLs; and up to the first 8,000 characters of the page’s visible text (used to improve extraction accuracy). Each extracted field is tagged with the technical method used to find it and a confidence score.
What the Extension does NOT do. It does not read or collect your browsing history, your cookies, your passwords, the content of other tabs or windows, or any page you do not explicitly choose to clip. It does not track your activity across sites, and it contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking code.
c. Design-client information
To manage orders and design projects, staff may enter or import information about our design clients, including name, email address, phone number, delivery address, notification preferences, and order, invoice, project, room, selection, and mood-board details associated with that client.
d. Email-derived order information
With our own authorized business mailboxes, the Services connect to Google Gmail on a strictly read-only basis to identify vendor order and shipment notifications. For one mailbox we read message contents to extract invoice and shipment details; for another we read only message metadata (such as sender, subject, and date). We never send, modify, or delete email.
e. Images
When an employee selects product images to save, we download those images from the vendor’s site, compress them, and store them privately. We retain the original source URL and basic technical metadata (dimensions, a content hash for de-duplication). We do not retain camera/EXIF metadata.
f. Server logs
Our hosting provider generates standard server and error logs (for example, timestamps and error messages) used to operate and secure the Services. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or behavioral-tracking technologies.
3. How we use information
- To provide the Services — building and maintaining our internal product catalog and capturing product data clipped by staff.
- To authenticate users, secure accounts, and enforce role-based access.
- To manage design projects, orders, and invoices.
- To send order and shipment notifications to design clients who have opted to receive them (by SMS and/or email).
- To operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the Services.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use personal information to build advertising profiles.
4. Automated processing and artificial intelligence
We use Anthropic’s Claude API to help structure certain text. Specifically, when our rule-based parsers are insufficient, we send the textof vendor invoice or shipment emails (subject and body) to Anthropic to extract fields such as order numbers, line items, prices, and tracking status. We do not send product images or full web pages for this purpose. Designer Boulevard accesses this service under commercial terms that do not permit our inputs or outputs to be used to train Anthropic’s models.
AI-derived values are never automatically trusted. They are flagged as unreviewed and default to internal-only visibility until a staff member reviews them. Decisions that affect design clients remain subject to human review.
6. Chrome Web Store Limited Use disclosure
Designer Boulevard’s use of information received from the Extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- The Extension collects product-page data only to provide the product-clipping feature you invoke.
- We do not sell this data, and we do not transfer or use it for advertising, ad targeting, or credit-scoring purposes.
- We do not use the data to train generalized AI/ML models.
- Humans do not read the collected data except as necessary to operate or secure the feature, to comply with law, or with the user’s consent.
The Extension’s permissions are used as follows:
- Host access to web pages — to read the active product page you choose to clip and extract its product details.
- activeTab & scripting — to run the extraction on the current tab only when you click the clip button.
- storage — to securely keep your account connection token on your device so the Extension can save to your account.
- sidePanel — to display the clip review panel.
7. International data transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, please be aware that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. Where such transfers occur, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, made available by our service providers.
8. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business and legal purposes, such as maintaining business and tax records, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements. Catalog and product data is retained for the life of the catalog. Account records are retained while an account is active and for a reasonable period afterward. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. You may request deletion as described in Section 10.
9. How we protect information
- Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
- Product images stored in a private bucket and served only through short-lived signed URLs.
- Passwords stored only as salted scrypt hashes; optional two-factor authentication and passkeys.
- Provider API keys and email-access tokens held server-side only, never exposed in the browser or Extension.
- Role-based access controls and automatically expiring sign-in sessions.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information using commercially reasonable safeguards.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information. We honor these rights regardless of where you are located.
EEA / UK / Switzerland (GDPR)
You may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal information, and to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Our legal bases for processing are: performance of a contract; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving our business tools; compliance with legal obligations; and, where applicable, your consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA) and other U.S. state rights
You may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it; to request access to or deletion of your personal information; to correct inaccurate information; and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information and do not shareit for cross-context behavioral advertising, so no opt-out of sale/sharing is necessary. The categories of information we collect and the purposes for collection are described in Sections 2–5.
How to exercise your rights
Email us at design@designerblvdaz.com. We will verify your request (for example, by confirming control of the relevant email address) and respond within the time required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent where the law permits. If you are a design client of Designer Boulevard, you may contact us to exercise rights over the personal information we hold about you.
12. Children’s privacy
The Services are intended for business use by adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
